Project Summary

McBade Engineers & Consultants, L.L.C. has been contracted by the City of Youngsville to provide City Engineering Services on an as-needed basis at the request of the Mayor that includes the following:

  • Attend meetings with the Mayor, City Staff and or other City representatives
  • Design and construction management of small City infrastructure repair and/or rehabilitation projects
  • Review subdivision planning documents and prepare compliance documentation for preliminary subdivision and plat approvals.
  • Prepare for and conduct subdivision and plat approval public hearings and provide documentation of hearing comments
  • Review engineering reports, plans or other technical documents
  • Perform field investigations and site condition assessments which include documentation of existing field conditions of a site (i.e. obtain photographs and document roadway, drainage, erosion and/or utility infrastructure)
  • Assist in implementation of Floodplain Management Program which includes verifying Base Flood Elevations (BFE), reviewing 100-year floodplain analyses, reviewing elevation certificates, reviewing and preparing no-rise certifications for City projects within the floodplain
  • Assist with acquisition of servitudes for City projects through coordination with City Staff, consultants, City Attorneys and City contractors
  • Attend meetings with other agencies as a representative for the City
  • Assist in the planning of capital projects as well as their review and implementation
  • Perform construction observation for City projects
  • Perform occasional construction observation on private projects throughout the City to assure compliance with permit
  • Develop and maintain City GIS by adding infrastructure as constructed and documented on asbuilts
  • Maintain library of asbuilts, drainage studies and construction documents for developments and Capital Improvement Projects
  • Maintain City water model with new development and capital projects
  • Maintain City drainage model once developed with new developments and capital projects
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a City maintenance program for roads, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure
  • Assist with the review of boundary line adjustment plats
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of City infrastructure complaints
  • Assist with grant writing for funding mechanisms for Capital Improvement Projects
  • Assist with the development of new City ordinances for commercial development as well as technical requirements for City infrastructure
